IMPORTANT: TaxAible is an AI-powered assistant. While we strive for accuracy based on the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, our platform does not constitute professional legal or chartered accountancy advice.

By accessing or using TaxAible, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

1. Service Description

TaxAible provides an interactive AI interface designed to assist taxpayers in Pakistan with:

  • Classifying income and expenses according to FBR tax codes.
  • Calculating tax liability based on current Finance Acts.
  • Preparing Wealth Statements (Section 116).
  • Automating the filing process through the IRIS portal.

2. Platform Nature and Scope

TaxAible provides AI-driven analysis to assist in tax preparation. However, tax laws are subject to change and individual interpretation. Users remain solely responsible for the accuracy of their filings and should verify all AI-generated outputs against official tax codes or primary regulatory sources before submission.

3. User Responsibilities & Data Accuracy

TaxAible prepares and submits filings based entirely on the information provided by the user. As a user, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information regarding your financial status.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials (TaxAible and IRIS).
  • Review all data and calculations before final submission to the FBR.
  • Ensure that you have the legal right to file taxes for the CNIC/NTN provided.

4. AI and Automation Disclaimer

Our service relies on Large Language Models (LLMs) to interpret natural language. While highly capable, AI may occasionally misinterpret specific financial contexts. Users are provided with a "Review" screen before any filing occurs; it is the user's absolute responsibility to verify the final figures on this screen. TaxAible is not responsible for errors arising from user-provided data or AI misinterpretations that were not corrected during the review phase.

5. Audit Cooperation & Data Disclosure

In the event of a tax audit, investigation, or conflict arising with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) or other relevant authorities, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • TaxAible will cooperate with relevant authorities and may share your personal data, tax records, and the full transcript of your AI chat interactions to verify the source of the filed information.
  • TaxAible maintains logs of all user-provided inputs to demonstrate that filings were made as per your specific instructions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, TaxAible shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to fines, penalties, or interest charged by the FBR due to data entry errors, omissions, or misinterpretations of tax laws. You agree that TaxAible is a facilitator and the ultimate responsibility for the accuracy of a tax return lies with the taxpayer.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Islamabad.
