Table of Contents
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using TaxAible, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TaxAible regarding your use of our AI-powered tax services. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the platform.
2. Platform Nature and Scope
We built TaxAible to give you the expertise of a traditional accountant with the speed of AI. Our platform interprets your data based on current tax regulations to streamline your FBR filings. Please note that while our AI is highly advanced, it provides data-driven classifications, not personalized legal counsel. TaxAible is designed to handle the heavy lifting of tax season, but the user remains responsible for the accuracy of their final declarations.
3. IRIS Credentials and Security
To facilitate automated filing, you may provide your FBR IRIS credentials. By doing so, you explicitly authorize TaxAible to:
- Store your credentials in an encrypted format (AES-256 Fernet).
- Access the official IRIS portal on your behalf solely for purposes of fetching tax data or submitting returns.
- Maintain a record of successful transmissions for audit purposes.
4. User Accountability and Filing Verification
The taxpayer is solely responsible for the content of their tax return. TaxAible prepares returns based entirely on the data you provide. You are required to:
- Verify every line item on the "Review & Reconcile" screen before authorizing submission.
- Ensure all income sources (salary, business, capital gains, etc.) are accurately declared.
- Ensure total assets in the Wealth Statement match your actual holdings.
TaxAible shall not be held liable for any penalties, fines, or interest imposed by the FBR due to failure to declare income or inaccuracies in user-verified data.
5. FBR Audit Cooperation and Disclosure
Per the legal framework of Pakistan (Income Tax Ordinance 2001), TaxAible is committed to maintaining transparency. In case of an official audit or query from the FBR regarding a return filed through our platform:
- We will share the full transcript of your AI interaction logs to demonstrate the source of the information.
- We will cooperate with authorities to verify that the return was filed as per your direct instructions.
- The taxpayer is responsible for maintaining all primary receipts and certificates for a period of six (6) years as required by law.
6. AI Product Usage and Limitations
Our platform utilizes advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance user experience. You acknowledge that AI technology is inherently probabilistic and may occasionally generate inaccurate classifications. You agree to use the AI features responsibly and cross-check critical calculations against the latest Finance Act passed by the Government of Pakistan.
7. Limitation of Liability and Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxAible's liability for any claim arising from these terms or the use of our services shall be limited to the amount paid by you to us (if any) for the specific filing in question. We are not liable for consequential damages, including loss of business, profits, or FBR penalties resulting from user error.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be settled by the courts of competent jurisdiction in Islamabad, Pakistan.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time to reflect changes in tax law or platform functionality. Continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
